not all those who wander are lost

This ceiling is amazing, and at some point it seems that they thought it wise to cover it with a plaster drop ceiling, involving a welded rebar substructure.

This is the area that passengers would get off and on the trains, leading to the main concourse.

The lighting was almost nonexistent, so pardon the lack of clarity at times – heres a chunk fallen from the ceiling. These are all glazed terracotta with numbers on the back to orient the craftsmen installing the decor.

Terracotta lamp holders ring each section, reminiscent of the National Theater and other structures from this time period.
