A quick trip through Highland Park which was making a lot of headway into demolishing bad structures before things slowed down again.

This huge apartment building at 21 East Grand Street finally did get knocked down, although it is still got some remains to deal with.

Many other parts of the neighborhoods look quite the same, with the slumpy old garages and dilapidated buildings. I think the ongoing efforts in Detroit to clear the detritus is a testimony to how difficult this process really is.
