not all those who wander are lost

To hell with the the Big 3 – THE BRITISH ARE COMING ! ! !

More cars for the car folks out there. Chris, you see anything in here that you are into ?

The scooters are even cool !

Ooops – Ford snuck in here anyway – haha !

What did you dream?
It’s alright we told you what to dream.
You dreamed of a big star, he played a mean guitar,
He always ate in the Steak Bar.
He loved to drive in his Jaguar.
So welcome to the machine.

  • Yes. The lyrics from Sea and Sand state: “I ride a GS scooter with my hair cut neat, I wear a war time coat in the wind and sleat.” The MOD culture did infact perfer scooters, preferably the vespa GS’s They would trick them out with luggage racks, mirrors, and extra lights. See

  • Arent the Vespas what they use in Quadrophenia ? There was one there that looked like the ones in the movie, and people were puzzling over all the mirrors. However, it didnt say “GS” on it anywhere.

  • Hey yeah! I used to own a 1962 Austin Healey Sprite which I restored (the origin of the MG Midget which you have pictured). That Sunbeam Tiger came equiped with a Ford V8. Great car, although suffered from overheating due to poor cooling strategies. It was not uncommon for some british marks to borrow powertrains from Ford of Europe. I think the Triumph TR 7 had the same motor as a pinto. The Vespa’s are cool, but those are Italian. I have one of those too, although its a Ciao, and not a cool one like those.
