No – neither Ilitch Holdings LLC nor Olympia Entertainment own the Grand Army of the Republic Hall. That is common misinformation – the GAR (castle building) is owned by the City of Detroit.

The Ilitch’s own that castle looking GAR building. They were supposed to make it into some kind of nightclub at one time. Now it just sits there and decays. Whatever happens to it I don’t care, I just hope that the building survives.
