DONT BOTHER WITH YOUR PRESIDENT, he wont listen anyway….

Gas in Grosse Pointe this morning for $3.39 per gallon.

No Katrina, no hurricanes, no unusually high per barrel sweet light crude prices.

No explanations.

No protests.

A time will come soon when we all must band together and take this great country back into our own hands. Park your SUV and call a Senator, a Governor, a State Representative.

March, complain, scream.

Turn off your cable television and your iPods and your high speed cable internet…

Turn off the radio, turn off your sports programs………….. close this browser with detroitfunk in it.

Get out in the streets and demand competent government from our elected servants.

Call Lansing, Washington D.C, your state capital, your local municipal officials…

Do something.

  • Right on Jon Bohy, done and done.

  • maybe you should post the phone numbers for the political offices you were writing about. people would be more likely to call if they don’t have to spend time searching for them.

  • Andy – I am hearing the pain down under, brother. I think we are needing more than hybrids. My problem with the unreasonably slow development of fuel technology is based on a simple premise;

ALLEGEDLY, the US Government declared that we were to “fly to the moon” by the end of the 1960’s decade. At the point Mr Kennedy declared this, all prior research in propulsion technology had failed dramatically. Yet we are supposed to have put men on the surface of the moon in a span of 6 years !!! With computer technology that couldnt run a digital watch. That dog dont hunt.

But to make a fuel efficient vehicle or to diversify AWAY from petroleum – they cant even imagine how many decades that will be. Huh ?

No. We are slaves to the oil masters, plain and simple. Oil needs to be eliminated at all costs as soon as possible.

  • Well I just filled up here in Melbourne and paid $1.40 per litre! Given there is approx 4 litres in a gallon, thats about $5 US per gallon equivalent down here. I think it’s time to start checking out those hybrids!

  • I know theres probably not a damn thing any of us can do, Im just sort of yelling at the sky. Im also aware – as Alex can surely testify to, that petrol in other regions is way more expensive. Im actually not complaining about the prices, but rather the instability of the prices which is a recent development.

Habeas Corpus – thats different. That needs to be addressed at all costs.

  • No harm done!

    cheers,

    Alex

  • People are afraid to stand up and make a big stink what’s been going on since forever with the federal government and the fascist/totalitarian ways we as citizens have been treated. If you speak up, you’ll get shot down and or audited. The patriot behaviors we as people might exude will get us sent to some prison, because we are committing treason and against the presidents self imposed laws. No one believes any more in freedom. Anyone who does nothing about it are programmed not to, there’s too much on tv.
