  • Mary – the ceilings are plaster, which deflects adherence of paint when it absorbs water via leaks.

  • Glad you got the chance to go back and photograph an empty St. Albertus this time, dFUNK. I can’t imagine anyone today designing a structure so elaborate and detailed.

    A dumb question (for those of us not architectually-attuned). What is the ceiling made, which (sadly) appears to be either peeling or falling off?
