all who wander are not lost

My god ! Is nothing sacred ?! Now they are scrapping Dairy Queen ??? lmao !

Seriously, this is to make a point. Scrapping is NOT limited to the City of Detroit. This poor little Queen is nestled in the suburban city of Fraser, several miles north of Detroit, in the next county.

This particular Dairy Queen is a bit of an icon from my youth – my mother has some cousins who lived across the street, and I would see the DQ when we would visit. Never got to go there, but I thought it was cool to have an ice cream place at the end of your street.

This is at Groesbeck and 14 Mile Road, which interestingly is down the street from one of the major scrap yards in the region.

It looks like these guys were interrupted part way through the skinning process…

  • Kahnmann- lmao – you know me and my passive aggressive sweet tooth too well..ha !

  • Denied ice cream as a youth?!

Dfunk, that explains a lot about your passive-aggressive tendencies and a compulsive need to display post-apocalyptic imagery showcasing the systemic collapse of a once great city.

Let it go, man. Let it go…

  • I grew up going to this Dairy Queen. Lots of memories there.
