BODIES OF WORK

A Master Painter’s Last Works

This is Russell as I knew him, one of the most intense instructors Ive ever encountered. His talent and knowledge were so comprehensive it was actually terrifying. Such a nice guy too. He passed away during my second year of school at CCS CAD in 1991.

A special VIP pre-show opening is being held on Thursday at 7p.m. for CCS Staff, students and alumni.

  • Thanks for your personal insight and ruminations about one of the greatest painters (and teachers) this town has ever known .
His legacy and greatness live on in his students .
CPop owes a great deal of thanks to Russ for influencing the likes of , Glenn Barr, Derek Hess, Wyland , Tom Thewes and Mike Sullivan -to name only a few.
All of us are a little better off because of him.
