This is a new painting I just finished, a small landscape on a Belgian linen canvas. I did this to repay one of the nicest favors that anybody has ever done for me. A person I never met before went through considerable efforts to hook me up.
I was so absolutely floored by this persons generosity of spirit, that I made this painting. A humble gesture on my part, but I wanted to do something in return. I mailed it back, and never felt better about doing a painting for somebody in my life.
I hope to be able to “pay it forward” – doing some random act of kindness for somebody else down the road.
In the meantime, I hope my new friend likes the painting.

When ya gonna post some vids of you shredding on the Fender?
As always, a wonderful painting, and a great story to go with it!
Thanx Lt Dan !
wow. nice painting, dude! love the composition and your palette.
Yeah, Edward was really into the Beatles – actually. All the photos I got are of family, so Im not posting the rest.
This is wonderful and cheerful news in these seemingly depressed and cynical times. The kind side of humanity is shining! Thanks for sharing!
Will you be showing some of the other pictures you rec’d? Also, Cousin Edward’s hair style looks like he was hanginign out with Messrs. Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr.
The landscape is just a typical Michigan country scene – this particular view is from an area outside of Williamston.
