Over in the southwestish hood around McGraw Street yesterday there were four almost simultanious arson fires set within ten minutes. I was headed out to Plymouth with my neighbor so he could take delivery on a new ride, and as we headed west on I-94 the road became smokier and smokier until you could actually taste it in the air. We turned off on I-96 away from the fire, but on my way home I doubled back to see what happened.

The Mighty DFD hard at work, risking their lives to extinguish blazing garbage. As wrong as it seems to risk these guys lives to put out an abandoned house, nearby residents and their houses were in danger from spreading flame.

This mornings local news reveals that a suspect is in custody. I wonder if he has anything to do with other arson streaks – like the Highland Park asonist.
