Parkview Manor. This place burned down on December 09, 2006 , I was surprised…….well….. sort of surprised to find its ruins still standing.

Would be interesting to photograph at night. With strategic lights pointing up into the remaining architecture, it would be a scary scene to walk into!
this is walking distance from my house.
often i work in this neighborhood and take my lunch break in my truck in the park.
Interesting…check out the “bing” birdseye view. They are still showing the pre-2006 fire oblique images.
This was one of those on Kwame’s hitlist of buildings. Apparently the city owns it based on that… so it might just be around for quite a while.
Thanks for the geotagging. Love the old Magnavox console TV…
Funny you should mention “Life After People”. A lot of what you’ve shown us in your spectacular photo blog IS life after people. Such a shame so many majestic buildings abandoned and left to rot.
Actually, the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone doesnt looks as bad as this:
This looks more like Nagasaki:
Looks like Ukraine after the Chernobyl disaster.
Looks like it belongs in a country that been at war for years.
