all who wander are not lost

A new development in Brush Park is opening up, the Edmund Place condos.

The rest of Brush Park is still in a quasi-restoration phase of half mothballed and half demolished.

Ransom Gillis is cozy in her mothballed crap construction plywood roof.

Heres a creepy HDR of the castle building on Watson.

Elsewhere in town we see the once mighty Book Cadillac Hotel awaiting some sort of loftification effort.

  • The People’s Outfitting Building is a small price to pay for the renovation.

  • The Book-Cadillac is scheduled to reopen in 2008 as the Westin Book-Cadillac Hotel. Some floors will be sold as loft units, but the building will still function as a hotel. I’ve been keeping a close eye on the Book as work progresses. It looks like some of the buildings to the east may be demolished, possibly to make room for a parking structure, but that’s just guessing.

  • that HDR shot is unbelievable! i like how the trees came out. excellent work, as always.

  • I hope they can rescue the Book, the irony is that Westin & Sheraton are the same company — maybe everything comes full circle?
