I ran across this place one day and stopped in my tracks – cool bricks …
A wall climbers dream
Based on first glance I would have thought they were purpose built as rock-climbing wall.
i would really love to see the interior of that house again now that its finished.
they had some MOSNTER fireplace hearth in there, all carved cherry i think. maybe taken from some older house.
actually i was going to comment about that exact same house on Penninman Street in Plymouth…i actually did some electrical work in that house while it was being remodded…i installed the box & switch leg to the light in the pantry, and fished a 20 amp circuit from the basement to the outlets for the kitchen counter. AFTER the counter was in. fun stuff….lol
and yes it has the same style of melty bricks…i think those were briefly popular in the 1930s.
i dug the weird circular window on the top floor
Reminds me of the wall on American Gladiators. Lets get DFunk to scale it and have Nitro go after him.
there is a teardown in downtown plymouth that was rebuilt completely with that bendy brickwork. Looks like the Adams Family lives there on Penniman.
So do some local Michigan Big Boy restaurants.
See house number 12. It has the exact same brick treatment.
