Packard

Fisher Body #21 – the owners finally zipped this one up tight. All doors and windows and fences are effectively blocked, this after weeks of scrappers with huge trucks driving right into the building to remove parts of it for sale as scrap.

St. Thomas

Over on St Aubin street, a current church – according to its pastor it was a meeting hall, and originally started as a candy factory.

  • Nailhed – yeah, same St Thomas. This was the original church, later a gymnasium. Sits next to the newer schurch facilities, still partly in use. Its on St Thomas street over in the St Cyril hood.

  • is that the same St Thomas that you had blogged about once before (long ago?)

i had tried to find it in that area, and saw the blg pictured here, but not sure if it was the same one.

  • Boy the Fairmont Creamery bings back old memories. My father worked for them way, way back.
Thanks for all your photos. Too bad our city does not think about taking care of their old buildings like some other cities do.
