not all those who wander are lost

An overlooked undemolished Victorian home, which at some point was named “Clara Henderson’s Memorial Hall”

The interior is essentially stripped, looked like there were a few attempts to clean up or rehabilitate.

[Pete adds:
This is the historic Lee Burt home, circa 1870, Italianate architecture.
The City of Detroit put it up for auction last fall with a starting price of approximately $14,000, down from a summer auction starting price of $40,000.

  • On a related theme, these last two days have been hard on Slumpy (Livingston Home), seems to have lost most of the front facade. Haven’t seen anyone working on the property.

Hopefully, the dumpster is an early sign of restoration.

  • I wasn’t that long ago that all those architectrual window details were still intact.
