A rather renowned local artist moved his studio to Brush Park in recent years. This particular artist is well known for taking it upon himself to heap paintings and found objects as well as graffiti all over whatever he sees. Many people find this quite charming. Which is strange, because many of those same people act horrified when they see graffiti or street art by anybody else.
Somehow this guy always gets a pass on that criticism.

Now Brush Park is starting to slowly be enveloped by this artists decorations. Wondering what some of the home owners in Brush Park think about all the stinky liquor bottles lined up in front of the old buildings…(I am assuming the empty liquor bottles are some deep comment about people leaving empty liquor bottles around…)

Just wondering where all the crazy Oopsy the Clown polka dot decorating ends ? Also wondering why this guy never gets nailed for graffiti tagging property that does not belong to him. Is it acceptable to be a graffiti artist after people give you a lot of money ?
It would appear so.

LOL!
you just dont underSTAND, man, this is ART! ;D
im with you. time to stand up against the popular consensus, and call things like they are. too much pandering going on in the city.
Who is this guy?
Don’t make our host go there, Jeff H. I think we’re trying to avoid saying his name. Anybody who says they’re “taking it to the streets just like Jesus” doesn’t need their bloated ego fed any more. Just Google “Heidelberg Project”. You’ll figure it out.
Thanks KJ5 – he also makes people call him “dr” because CCS gave him an honorary degree. I went to CCS and had to pay tuition and make grades for my degree…and they are not accredited to hand anybody a doctorate.
Haha, sorry! Didn’t mean to rile anyone up. I have seen the Heidelberg project stuff. I though someone was just nailing rubbish to a house but I’m not much of an art critic. Maybe I can ask someone for an art doctorate?
Heidelberg was cool back in the 1990′s. Artists have to keep evolving, or else it all becomes nothing but a shtick. Starts to make art and artists look silly in general after a while.
sorry, but it looks like a gaudy mess to me.
maybe an outdoor version of “hoarders”?
